We are a non-profit organization that serves Polk County and St. Croix County in northwestern Wisconsin.  Northern Waters Literacy (NWL) is proud to be financially supported by many generous foundations, donors, and local organizations.  We are also proud of our trained volunteers who compassionately provide individualized tutoring for adults and children.  Volunteers are available to meet regularly at public locations with learners of various backgrounds.  These services are available at no cost.

Specific Programs provided are:  Family Literacy Tutoring (Reading, Writing, Math, Parent/Child, Parent Education);
Adult Basic Education Tutoring (Reading, Math, Finance, Health, Pre-GED, Citizenship); English Language Learning (Speaking, Reading, Writing, Citizenship, ); Workplace Literacy Tutoring; Reading Mentors for struggling elementary students
